Christ Among Other PriestsErwin W. Lutzer | May 26, 1996
Selected highlights from this sermon
The fifth chapter of the book of Hebrews portrays Jesus as the great High Priest. He’s better than the Aaronic line of priests, because He’s of the line of Melchizedek—the mysterious king-priest found in Genesis 14.
More than that, Jesus is the unique Son of God who offered His own life as the final sacrifice for all time. Therefore, because of His provision, we need not go through earthly priests—we can go straight to the great High Priest with confidence.
